Description
Nanopunk illustration of nanotechnology research published in Nature. A molecular pump (blue and grey) "pulls" crown ether rings (copper and orange) out of solution by making use of clever chemical reaction kinetics. Various bulky chemical groups and fast or slow binding interactions allow the rings to collect on the long "axle" of the pump.
